Tomorrow I leave for my 4th trip to Malawi....I am traveling alone this time and am anxious and excited about the experience. I hope to see a lot of people I have met before and learn more about the country and develop and expand our organzation in the direction that will best meet our mission.

We have met so many amazing people that I have high hopes for future expansion and progress on our work there. Eduacation comes in many forms and I feel that I gain more education in so many areas every time I travel there.

Stephen and I rode our bikes this morning; part of my last ditch effort at training for the Big ride a week after my return from Malawi! Yikes!! The picture above is from our ride this morning...

Will write more when I can! Hopefull before a MONTH goes by!!

Riding, riding, riding!

My new bike!! I love it soo! Which is a good thing, since i will be on it for many hours in the next couple months!! I am really starting to ride a bit more, as much as I can, to prepare for the Big ride!

Also, getting ready for the trip. The countdown is on for that first, August 1st I depart from NJ to Malawi! It will take me 2 days to get there...the flight I got (using my sky miles) takes me through Fankfurt and then to So. Africa for an overnight stay, THEN on to Malawi! I have begun work on my itinerary while I'm there and it is filling up quite nicely! Delivering pen pal letters to Namitsitsi, taking pictures of the classroom block, beginning the application process for the next round of scholarship applicants at Chancellor College....shopping for more items to bring back for our craft fair.

It will be a full two weeks I think and then I come back, recover from the flight, and get on my bike for 8 days!! I went out for Chinese food the other day, and my fortune said, "you never hesitate to tackle the most difficult problems"...I agreed with that but haven't yet determined if that's a good thing or not! I am not sure it's entirely true, either. The MOST difficult problems are pretty big and I don't think I am quite that ambitious; I like to sleep too much!
