Riding, riding, riding!

My new bike!! I love it soo! Which is a good thing, since i will be on it for many hours in the next couple months!! I am really starting to ride a bit more, as much as I can, to prepare for the Big ride!

Also, getting ready for the trip. The countdown is on for that first, August 1st I depart from NJ to Malawi! It will take me 2 days to get there...the flight I got (using my sky miles) takes me through Fankfurt and then to So. Africa for an overnight stay, THEN on to Malawi! I have begun work on my itinerary while I'm there and it is filling up quite nicely! Delivering pen pal letters to Namitsitsi, taking pictures of the classroom block, beginning the application process for the next round of scholarship applicants at Chancellor College....shopping for more items to bring back for our craft fair.

It will be a full two weeks I think and then I come back, recover from the flight, and get on my bike for 8 days!! I went out for Chinese food the other day, and my fortune said, "you never hesitate to tackle the most difficult problems"...I agreed with that but haven't yet determined if that's a good thing or not! I am not sure it's entirely true, either. The MOST difficult problems are pretty big and I don't think I am quite that ambitious; I like to sleep too much!

So...if you haven't already done so...send your donation for Karen's Ride for Malawi to:

http://www.educate-malawi.org/ - there is a paypal option available as well as information about where to send your check contribution.

Thank you for your support!!
